Crawford Industries is proud to say that we have sponsored the annual Strawberry Festival again this past year. For those of you who don’t know, here is a little background on this great community event.
Crawfordsville residents and visitors alike can count on the annual Strawberry Festival to provide hours of family fun in an attractively wholesome environment. Held at the grounds of the historical Lane House, the festival is centrally located and only a short walk from downtown. Festival events include:
- Arts and crafts booths
- Live musical performances by local bands and visiting artists
- Athletic events such as tennis and softball tournaments
- Car and tractor shows
- A food court with delicious offerings.
- A pageant.
- Fresh strawberries everywhere!
The Strawberry Festival also features a kids’ area with games, crafts, snacks, and entertainment. There is an area available for festival attendees to participate in various games that support local nonprofit groups. There are over 100 arts-and-crafts booths that are carefully chosen from among many talented applicants. The festival always begins on a Friday and ends on Sunday evening and generally takes place during the second weekend in June. There is a church service on Sunday morning from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30. The entire event is nonsmoking, and pets are not allowed.
The grounds of Lane Mansion are spacious and well kept, making it the perfect place to celebrate one of the best things about the start of an Indiana summer — fresh, ripe strawberries.
Crawfordsville is a town of almost 16,000 in Montgomery County, Indiana. The Strawberry Festival features the best aspects of classic small town living, and we at Crawford Industries are proud to have sponsored this event for more than 10 years. We strongly believe that business involvement in local events creates strong communities. We also feel that we are blessed to be a part of the town of Crawfordsville and highly appreciate the opportunity to give something back for all of the great things that we have received.
