One of the beautiful things about starting the New Year is the ability to reinvent your company’s image in 2014. Creative packaging, with a unique marketing flair, is a chance to make a powerful first impression. Gone are the years where a simple brown box would suffice. Now, to avoid being carelessly opened, or worse, tossed into the trash, more and more companies are turning to creative packaging. To help you stay ahead of the competition, we have come-up with our own take on the growing trend.

Focus on Labels

Want to increase your social media network? Why not use social media labels on your packages? Or, you can take it one step further and make the entire package into a social media promotion. Start with the colors of your favorite network, then incorporate their best known icon or logo, and finish with a uniquely shaped package that epitomizes the brand. Inside the package you can include a note introducing your new presence on the specific social media network, while simultaneously inviting your customer to follow your page or account.

The packaging label is the perfect opportunity to let your creativity shine through. Have you thought about creating a two-sided sticker? For example, the front can ask a simple question, “What do you think is inside?” with a ‘pull here’ tab on the corner. The back can answer the question with a personalized message; for example, “We heard that you hired someone new, so we wanted to say welcome to the team!” This question and answer methodology is a good way to show that you care about your clients, make a memorable impression, and allude to the package’s hidden contents.
